What's all this Drupal stuff you keep talking about?
We've had a number of clients ask us this question recently. Different people will tell you different things about what Drupal is and why they use it. For Pushing7, it's all about knowing that we're building sites on a flexible platform that can evolve in virtually any direction. What this means for our clients is that when we're presented with questions about whether we can add a feature or display content in a specific way, we can answer the question with a resounding "yes!"
We won't bore you with a long list of details about Drupal (drupal.org/about), but here are a few of the highlights that have made it one of the most valuable tools in our toolbox:
- It's highly customizable and backed by a large ecosystem of developers, tools and support.
- Our clients can quickly and easily add, update and manage their content through an easy-to-use web interface.
- A focus on social publishing and collaboration makes it possible to easily build communities and gather feedback from your clients and users.
- From slide shows and photo galleries to blog entries to social media, we can easily create custom content types to meet specific use cases and present content in a variety of ways.
- Drupal is open source and community supported, which means that it's constantly evolving and improving.
At Pushing7, we're focused on building sites that are usable, engaging, compatible with a wide range of browsers and devices and that are effective communication and collaboration tools. We're excited to be able to offer improvements in all of these areas for our clients.
But, seeing is believing, right? To get a better idea of what we're talking about, take a look at a few of the sites we've built using Drupal over the last few months.
