NSRMCA
The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA) is an association of companies who ship and deliver mail throughout the United States.
The association used an “out of the box” solution from a large, well-known provider for managing its member database. However, because of the particular needs of NSRMCA, they were forced to fit a square peg in a round hole in terms of how data was stored in the system. This made working with their data difficult, requiring the use of many complicated work-arounds. The solution also did not allow for access to any data from the web—a big problem for a nation-wide association in 2010! While the provider had a software package that would allow for web access, the price was high. Given the price and limitations of the provider’s system, the association decided to do something different.
Enter Pushing7. We worked with NSRMCA to do a detailed needs analysis. Together we combed through every process used by NSRMCA staff so that we clearly understood their pains, needs and wants. We developed a plan to create a new system that would do JUST what the association needed, and rolled out the system on time, on budget. Today NSRMCA is able to create queries and reports more easily than ever before, and the association’s officers now have secure online access to member data and reports in their respective areas.
